The newest attraction in the Historic Center of Salvador
The Museum of Energy, in the Historic Center of Salvador, has just been reopened. The space, which belongs to Coelba and is located on the first floor of the distributor’s historic building, in Praça da Sé, was completely reformulated, with new technologies and bringing to the public immersion experiences so that Bahians and tourists get to know the history of electricity and the concepts of electrical energy.
The museum features new environments with mapped projection and all in touch technology, which allows the public to understand more about the universe of electricity. Another novelty at the museum is the Maker space, focused on student learning, in addition to the Energy Classes project, created with the aim of raising awareness among students and teachers of the importance of saving energy, through knowledge about the history of electricity, optics and magnetism.
The installation of this museum, and the consequent restoration of the mansion that houses it, comes in addition to a series of interventions that the City Hall has been implementing in this region of the city, which has one of the most beautiful historic centers in the world.
